What is this position about?
• Manage BNPP third-party risks throughout third-party (including internal and external parties) lifecycle in APAC
What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like? 
Primary Role Responsibilities
In this role, you will
• Lead the implementation of third-party risk management (TPRM) policy and operating procedure and ongoing refinement across the APAC territories and business units;
• Support the territory and business stakeholders and third-party management functions in day to day operational and control aspects of TPRM, oversee and support trouble-shooting and root-cause analysis of TPRM related issues;
• Act as APAC representative and liaise with Head Office on TPRM initiatives by providing region-specific regulatory requirements and business feedback;
• Manage the interaction with key stakeholders in APAC across different levels (regional office and business unit) to understand the TPRM requirements and develop approaches that meet the relevant corporate and regulatory requirements;
• Interface and partner with second line of defence and subject matter experts on risk and policy compliance aspects of TPRM;
• Prepare and present reports to senior management on the TPRM program status;
• Engage and influence business stakeholders to ensure an adequate third-party risk culture is embedded across the business, deliver appropriate TPRM materials and trainings;
• Perform quality assurance and review on the TPRM framework, including the governance and operating effectiveness across each territory and business unit in the region
• Follow up on local regulatory requirements as well as the deployment of applicable European regulatory requirements
• Define and monitor all relevant risk metrics (including but not limited to incidents, control results, recommendations, risk assessment etc.) along the process chain
Other contributions
• Contribute to BNPP operational permanent control framework
• Digitalize and automate the existing TPRM process and record management
What is required for you to succeed?
• Able to work independently and proactively, and skilled at working collaboratively in a team environment with diverse cultures;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with keen attention to detail;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and communicate complex concepts to a diverse audience
• Strong presentation skills to convey key requirements and messages across to stakeholders across all levels on TPRM topics
• Good understanding on the operational risk framework
• Bachelor or Master Degree
• Risk Management / Internal Controls / TPRM related accreditation would be desirable
• 10+ years of experience in third party risk management or control function, preferably in financial institutions or consulting firms
• Knowledge on Asian and European regulatory environment will be a plus
