Position Purpose

The PMO Governance Analyst will play a crucial role in steering the project portfolio within the APAC CIB CIO Office. This position involves providing decision-making support, ensuring reliable reporting, and maintaining governance standards across various projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities

Governance, Process & Quality:

  • Act as an advisor to senior management, providing alerts and recommendations for steering the project portfolio.
  • Ensure reliable and commented reporting with necessary alerts and recommendations on milestones, financials, and other key metrics.
  • Provide decision-making support to project managers, project portfolio managers, program managers, and senior management.
  • Lead or contribute to the PMO community within the entity.

Project Portfolio Management:

  • Deploy and support the rollout of CIB Methodology (tools, processes including ITGv6.x).
  • As part of the IT project lifecycle, review new project demands and coordinate required governance meetings (GA, ITSVC, ITIC).
  • Monitor QA team in ISPL for GB IT perimeter.
  • Set up and monitor Clarity Projects.
  • Support audit and OPC processes.
  • Manage obsolescence, clean-up, and maintenance activities.

Resource Governance:

  • Perform regular reporting and analysis of monthly gaps between actuals and budget for cost reviews by project / pillar and cluster 
  • Analyze man-days reports for invalid charge codes and gaps between actuals and budget in the PPM tool.
  • Review allocation keys and methodologies.
  • Assist with Resource Planning in the PPM tool to align with headcount phasing against budget 

Stakeholder Management:

  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders including project managers, finance teams, and senior management to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Coordinate with the PMO members in Hong Kong and Singapore to support all clusters 

Competencies (Technical / Behavioral)

  • Years of experience: 2-3 years, preferable with IT background/experience
  • Bachelor/master’s degree in related fields (Business Administration, Information system, Finance…).
  • Proven experience in project management, governance, and financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to deliver and be results driven.
  • Familiarity with CIB Methodology and ITGv6.x tools and processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Data visualisation tool (PowerBI) is a plus.
