Alert on unauthorised third parties imitating BNP Paribas

We have been made aware of recent attempts by unauthorised third parties to impersonate the websites and mobile applications of BNP Paribas and its subsidiaries (“BNP Paribas”) for fraudulent purposes.

In particular, the mobile application called “Faba-SC”, a screenshot of which is appended below for reference, is not authorised by / not connected to BNP Paribas. We urge the public to exercise caution.

It is important to note that the official address of our Hong Kong website is https://www.bnpparibas.com.hk/en/. BNP Paribas has not, and will not conduct client onboarding, request clients or prospects to open accounts, transfer funds or conduct other financial product sales activities through the above  website. For clients who use BNP Paribas online banking services, if you are unsure whether a website or a mobile application purporting to be related to BNP Paribas is genuine, please contact your relationship manager.

BNP Paribas reminds Internet users and investors to carefully identify authentic websites, e-mails and legitimate financial product sales activities and to invest cautiously to avoid being deceived by suspicious individuals and suffering losses. If there is any doubt, we recommend that you immediately report to the relevant department or the police to safeguard your own legitimate rights and interests.

BNP Paribas reserves the right to pursue legal liability for illegal activities carried out by outlaws impersonating BNP Paribas.
