Position Purpose

The APAC GM & ALMT IT Trade processing manages all aspect of Post trade activities for GM in APAC, which involves Global/Regional and Local Back Office Projects for Global Market and ALMT business and operations, Regulatory reporting, commodities.

This position is a pivotal role to enable the business development by connecting the Front Office developments with the systems downstream, which amongst other includes the Back office systems, Finance and RegReporting.

As a result, the role is representing GM IT in the New products committee as well as GM Operations across APAC.

Given the nature of the role, many transversal projects across APAC involving not only GM/ALMT but also Global Banking (Cash Mgt, Trade Finance and Supply Chain), BP2S, Wealth Mgt, Finance …. requires various degree of involvement ranging from consulted, contributor to outright Project managing some of them.

The role will require a close collaboration with the APAC Architecture team which is primarily based in Singapore.

We have a diverse team with a Post Trade organization spreading across Europe Head office (Paris/UK) and ISPL our offshore team in Mumbai and Chennai who play a key role in delivering for our key stakeholders in APAC.

This is a Director position reporting directly into the GM CIO in APAC

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

·        As Head of GM Post Trade Team, be responsible for delivering all APAC Post Trade Projects Roadmap.

·        Drive, Guide, coach and motivate team members to deliver higher team performance

·        Be the GM IT representatives in the GM New products committee

·        Be the GM IT representatives for GM Operations in APAC

·        Work in close partnership with the Global Head in Paris/UK and ISPL and their respective teams in both Head Office and offshore team to bring 1) APAC specific requirements to them and 2) help implement the global strategy in APAC

·        Provide regular updates to project sponsors and Key business stakeholders through the existing governance: project steering committees, OPS-IT committee…

·        Collaborate and follow up with development teams regionally/globally to establish IT Solutions and ensure timely delivery of the IT Solution

·        Take necessary steps to anticipate risk and issues and escalate them to management/steering committees in a timely manner

Contributing Responsibilities

·        Set up/maintain a strong Governance framework on Projects execution

·        Lead by example for team members while implementing Project Methodology for APAC projects.

·        Advice Business/Stakeholders on new projects, any impact on day to day activities, identify the potential risks and propose solutions to meet their requirements.
