Position Purpose

This role is for a technical support position and requires excellent technical knowledge matched by a “can do” hands-on attitude, focusing on the Bank’s regional Virtualization Infrastructure. The successful candidate will be a member of a dynamic IT team and will work with other IT teams in global.

Key Responsibilities

·        Managing and supporting VMware/Citrix Infrastructure environment.

·        Assisting with the design and implementation on local, regional and global projects to provide virtualization solutions to APAC countries.

·        Performing maintenance and support duties on Virtualization Infrastructure such as security patching, system configuration, vulnerabilities/compliances remediation, inventory management, IT disaster recovery activities.

·        Performing proactive virtualization infrastructure monitoring and capacity management.

·        Provide 24/7 support, able to work shifts and occasional weekends outside regular business hours

Competencies (Technical / Behavioral)

·        At least 3 years of experience in Virtualization Infrastructure related roles.

·        With experience in Banking/Financial Institution is preferred.

·        In-depth working knowledge and experience with Virtualization and HCI technologies such as VMware vCenter/vSphere/vSAN, Nutanix and Microsoft Hyper-V.

·        Experience in set up, configure and support Citrix VDI

·        Relevant certifications such as VMware VCP-DCV or VCAP-DCV are preferred.

·        Experience using PowerShell, Python, UNIX shell scripts and Ansible is preferred.

·        Possess experience and knowledge of server hardware from Tier 1 manufacturers.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·        Strong knowledge and experience of technologies such as Domains, Group Policies, Effective permissions, DNS, Registries, DHCP, WINS, Firewalls, ICP, Proxy servers and other network devices.

·        Ability to prioritize effectively and work with a sense of urgency.

·        Flexibility to work in weekends or late after office hours at short notice.

·        Knows ITIL concepts and can apply them effectively.
